I have both the old and new archtypes. They're more 'gappy' but they take to poses more naturally because of how you can angle their torsos.
The old archetype is pretty fugly by today's standards but I feel it poses better than the new one. I actually really did use it to draw pose refs for a project. The new one also looks more superhero than anime.
My recommendation is - get the archetype if you can afford it. Or get a KO Body from China, because paying for the original isn't worth it.
If you want something that can do crazy extreme poses, get Spidey or Gwen revoltechs. Shitloads of fun.
