They aren't even bad characters on their own and I like TLJ okay-enough, but the overwhelming need to pander to inclusion crowds is not ignorable.
And fuck, I don't even think inclusion is a bad thing, but it makes the movie have the stink of the times and isn't going to age well. As bad as the prequels are, they might actually age better than the new trilogy.
