So, Rey arrived today.
I was worried that her face was going to be a horror show like previous Mafex human ventures, but it actually came out pretty alright. The weathering on her clothes and specially her desert mask is pretty damn good, as well as the odds and ends of her backpack. The helmet has a very nifty feature in that it splits in half so you can put it in her head, but that also means it can fit many other figures in the same scale and nogging size as Rey's. The lightsaber is alright, but the red buttons came out huge, somewhat over sized versus the Hasbro version. I cant compare it to the figuarts farmer Luke because I skipped that one. The gun is also nicely detailed and painted, and she comes with two gun hands and two lightsaber hands, but you gotta be careful with the trigger finger because that bastard sometimes doesn't want to go inside the gun and you may bend it. I think you can see that in a couple of the pics. The staff is great, and since the strap is some sort of faux leather, you can have her carry it over her chest which makes the whole desert scavenger look worth it for this figure.
Poseability is very good compared to the BS Rey, but I still would have liked to have the cloth around her be actual cloth like Kylo Ren had, because it limits any sitting poses unless you finagle her leg into the robe loop, but it still doesn't look that natural.
