Masking for the camo comes off before I even clean out the airbrush, because what does happen every now and then is that I get dark outlines here and there. Heck knows why, I make sure to extend to first paint way past where it should be, don't bother too much with getting the
make.it.black-again coat in under the "lip" of the putty, and do try to get the second colour in there instead. I guess either the putty gets squeezed out just by handling or it softens and flows a bit thanks to the solvent in the black coat.
Whatever the reason, keeping the airbrush ready to go turned out to be the right call. Touchups are partially just freehand, sometimes with a fingernail for masking, sometimes with a small bit of putty to mask.
