I placed the order at 7:34pm on sunday april 1st. Listing said first class shipping, also estimated arrival april 6th.
I payed immediately and paypal even cleared the bank on monday morning, the 2nd. Seller prints a label on the 4th, then on the 6th and its picked up by usps then accepted at the post office etc etc.
Also, on the subject of overpacking and using a much too large box, I can say that was the case here, as I suspected. The seller probably used whatever box he could get that would fit, even if it was way huge and drove the cost up. Seriously the shipping box was 4 times the size it needed to be height wise. This will drive shipping costs up more than weight will.
My advice to any sellers, get the box for the item before you list it, that way you can get measurements and weigh the box with the padding supplies with the merchandise. Gives a much more precise estimate for you and the customer, so that way you wont have to drop the shipping speed tier to avoid losing money on shipping, or losing time finding any box that will work.
