There are a lot of weird ass exclusives at stores like Sam's Club, Costco, Walreen's, etc. A debate can be had if volume has changed, such as the fact some these stores like Target and Walmart get whole wave series exclusive to them, but as for not toy stores getting major exclusives that's been a thing since the early 90s.
