I decided not to swap the Rebirth's uppers legs with the 1000s lower ones when I went about my changing mine around because doing so reduces the figures height and makes him look really, really stumpy. The downside, as you can see, is his legs look skinny. Which route you go all depends on which option bugs you the least.
