Question for those with MoCs: has anyone used any of the 2x2 Technic compatible bricks to incorporate Bionicle parts or other Technic themes with regular System parts to make cool mechs or scenes? I've started aquiring some of the 2x2 bricks with ball joint and axleholes (57909), and 2x2 bricks with wide ball receptacles (92013) from Creator sets. The first thing I thought of are my old Toa, Bohrok, Bohrok Va, and Manas. I already have plenty of other Technic compatible bricks, like 1x2s and 1x4s with pin holes, and others with axle holes.
My grandma used to buy me the Kanohi and Krana-Kal mask packs (8530 and 8559/8599), and some of the other colours were cool, and so I have plenty of extra heads and masks at my mom's house. Some kind of island or jungle scene, like a temple, with heads and masks built into it could be cool, especially where the whole thing was taken from the Maori. Onua and Nuhvok Va also had those cool molded black claws that could find their way into some kind of structure, possibly unrelated.
I only ask here, because my idea would predominately be a System build. Feel free to cop it.
