Here we make use of the only technic elements included in the set to construct the claw's play feature, it's grabbing ability. The mechanism is simple but very effective, moving the lever forward opens the claw while moving it back closes it with a loud snap. The printed arrow on the lever is a really nice touch even though the set would have been fine without it. The claw is quite good a gripping, picking up minifigures with ease. You can grab crystals too but it is a bit more difficult because they are much smaller. I really like this feature, it's fun and unobtrusive and it also makes sense for the vehicle. I was surprised by this feature while building the set for the first time, not knowing beforehand the claw was mechanized, and it made a really good impression on me.
