Also I had a pleasant surprise. The I Love Blocks people did fantastic with the Northstar set. It seems their production batch quality varies wildly because the piece quality I got this time around were the best of the "knock-offs" and extremely close to Lego. Model itself is sturdy enough to pose out-of-the-box but with just a bit of modding it becomes very posable and something you can play with.
