>>8891015Theoretically, Hasbro could be making some of the best Star Wars figures ever produced.
The face printing tech can make both TBS and TVC figures rival even pricier $50+ collector statues and busts, but only if they get the thing aligned. I passed on this Fives because his face is sliding off his head.
Then there's the articulation and possibility. Most figures over a decade old are better than the ones out now. The new hip joint setup is very unwieldly. Worse yet is that Hasbro now uses a very soft rubbery plastic for the 3 3/4 figure joints. Often times this causes the hinge joints to get stuck in place, and you end up focusing stress on the pin swivel or another adjacent joint.
The joints on all my older figures for the most part move smoothly.
Phase 1 toon styled Rex and Wolffe from the old TCW line are better figures than the new realistic phase 2 TVC ones; and they're over 10 years old, cost $6 less, and came with twice as many accessories.
Don't even get me started on character selection and distribution.
