Pinkle and Torin and all other mouthless Polynians are MotoroidsSome clarification on Motoroids: Originally, they started off as giant 10m tall mecha called "Motowalkers' that were fueled by something called 'Pion', and were used primarily for construction, terraforming, and moving heavy loads around. Specifically, they were used on various moon bases as humans started expanding their space colonization program, and when the Human/Polynian War broke out, they were eventually outfitted with weaponry to combat the aliens. Motowalkers were originally intended to be piloted by humans, but the control process was complex, tedious, and involved the pilots needing to wear special helmets and using pre-recorded movements coupled with basic AI to help simplify the process; eventually, when Humans got their hands on Polynian tech and learned how to create synthetic versions of their Crystal Hears, called 'Geo Crystals', they upgraded the Motorwalker to the autonomous Motoroid. While still retaining a cockpit for a human in the chest, the Motoroid now featured a head section that housed the new Geo Crystal, which gave the machine a far more lifelike AI and free will; Motoroids could now pilot themselves or be paired with human pilots to enhance their reflexes and situational awareness in combat, but they also started developing distinct personalities, hopes, and dreams. This became important when the Pion Interstellar War broke out, and a group of terrorists hijacked all Motorwalkers with a computer virus in an attempt to launch a civil war against Earth and declare the moon base as their own nation - Motorwalkers, which ran on the Pion energy source harvested from there, were affected, but Motoroids, which were running on the new Polynian Geo Crystals, retained their free will and were able to help the Earth governments quell the uprising.
