>>8716549 said, Trainfags are very varied in their interests (US prototypes, UK prototypes, EU prototypes, etc) and build philosophies (While 6-wide trains have been Lego's standard for decades, most train builders make their MOCs in 7/8-wide for scaling purposes. Basically, no matter what kind of train Lego puts out that's based on a real life prototype (IE, the Crocodile, the TGV, etc) there's going to be somebody complaining that Lego didn't make a Shinkansen or a Big Boy or whatever.
Shit, look at the Hogwarts Express set that came out a few years back, and then look at what MOC builders want to see out of a Hogwarts Express model. I'm honestly a bit surprised that Lego's never gone and made a UCS Hogwarts Express that isn't some chibified version yet.
