>>8831062Actually, Toy Biz bought Marvel. They became the majority shareholder of the company and changed their name to Marvel Entertainment. A new subsidary was created and named after their old company name, Toy Biz, to produce toys.
This is why the owner of Toy Biz became the CEO of Marvel (and after Disney purchased Marvel, became one of Disney's largest majority stock holder).
Anyway, Marvel needed money to gain back their characters and produce movies otu of them. In order to do this, they needed to license more shit out and toys is one of the biggest ways to get more money. So they sold the Marvel toy rights to Hasbro.
Toy Biz was renamed to Marvel Toys, and continued making toys, but they no longer had any licenses big enough to support their company and the manufacturing branch was shut down. The company was then merged into the licensing branch and has since handled how toys are to be produced by the licensors.

It's hard to keep track of their work, since most of them no longer maintain their own websites.
The internet has become extremely casual.
