I've decided I'm just going to do it 1944 version. There's just way more pictures for reference of it in 1944 with the dazzle camouflage, and I've done a ton of digging over the last hour or so and can't find any good references for what it looked like in MS-12 mod 1942.
It's a shame, because I was hoping to do it as it was during Operation Torch with a deck loaded with Wildcats and TBDs.
Thankfully, I managed to find some photo etch sets for Trumpeter aircraft from ebay that don't even have a brand, just some random Chinese company that I'm lucky enough to stumble across (pic related) only $10 each free shipping, got 2 sets so I can make at least 12 Hellcats, SBDs and TBFs. I'm pissed I lost $20 for the photo etch set that I won't be using anymore, just gonna save it for a future USN Carrier build like an early war Essex class.
