If you have standards, yeah, it's pretty bad. The random yellow joint on the hood of the alt mode is a particularly huge eyesore.

I passed on a $24 Hot Rod at Target the other day. Did I make a mistake? I'm not too crazy about all the miscolored joints (the car mode one is particularly grating to me), and his shade of red isn't ideal. Figured he stands a good chance of a Netflix or some other recolor in the future.
