Like what the G2 "Nuva" did, but not as terrible. Maybe for molds like Kopaka you could give his eye mod some gunmetal or silver, so the bleed from it makes it look like he had the tech infused with his face like some sort of mystical magical Borg.
(Also I just realized Kopaka's mask was inspired by the Borg.)
