I have a lot of nostalgia thinking about all the time I spent collecting and playing with my 90s Star Wars action figures but at the same time, I don't really regret giving them away. They were in terrible shape from how much me and my brothers played with them, and as an adult I feel like they make shitty display items because they are not movie accurate, and they're kind of this over-muscled half-assed pastiche of the original Kenner toys. I loved how comic-booky they looked when I was a kid because I was just coming off of Batman The Animated Series (and so was Kenner), but they were such in an awkward place between the beloved 70s and 80s toys and the much more movie-accurate 2000s toys that I just can't see myself going back and re-buying any of them.
I do feel a little regret about getting rid of my vehicles because Hasbro doesn't do vehicles anymore, but they were in really shit condition and some of them like the Tie Fighter had even been glued back together. Every once in a while I'll think about scouring eBay for some new 3.75" Star Wars figures, but I don't really know where I should start, or where I should stop myself. I feel kind of the same way about the Black Series, which I'm also interested in but I haven't broken the ice with yet.
