ex-aid, brave, snipe, genm, and lazer can all swap between lvl 1 and 2 forms, to middling effect. it would've been better if each of those guys came with a level 1 shell, instead of having to buy multiple ex-aids if you wanted that kind of display.
if you're asking about their belts and gashats, no those are solid pieces and don't open/close.
