I've been looking at pictures of MA -1 and I think these figures should use seperate parts for the eyes because the eyes being part of the headsculpt is what leads to them being messy, a seperate part allows them to be more detailed and potentially adjustable so they aren't squinty.
Some designs obviously should be painted onto to the sculpt to replicate the original suits that did it that way (like some of the Showa suits).
