>>8331597>man our hobby is slowly fading it feels.I don't think it's fading. I think the demographic is changing in response to technology. One local club I belong to is nearly 70 members, and the core demographic is 29 to 45 year old guys. Not old men and not kids either. It's weird.
The nice thing is we have state-of-the-art shit going on. The shitty thing is that most members are sarcastic assholes and it gets irritating at times. If I wanted that kind of shit I would keep playing Team Fortress 2 for the rest of my life.
>>8345149This is why it's on us to help reinforce entry level stuff. Not everything is expensive, but the shit that IS expensive is usually worth it. Unless it says BROADWAY LIMITED on the box. Fuck that shit. BLI is a massive letdown.
>>8346294Also this.
>>8347035>The market steered more towards hi-detail, high-accuracy kits because that's what the boomers demanded.>>8347260>all the damn rivet counting boomers ruined the gateway for future generations to join the hobbyThe fuck they did, they're the ones bitching about it. The guys wanting high-detail rivet counter shit are my age. The boomers bitch that they can't find proper kit cars anymore.
>Meanwhile me, pic related.
