>>10020209I build plenty of kits, and having actual flash- as in, major shims of plastic where it's seeped between the mold halves- is a sign the kit is probably awful. The only plastic kit I've ever seen with actual flash is a Testors 1:48 Phantom, which was so poorly cast the undercarriage bay had a paper thin layer of excess plastic filling it in.
If you're talking about mold lines they're kind of unavoidable, though newer kits tend to minimize those too, to the point you can get kits with basically zero moldlines. Heck, even 70s Tamiya kits have very minimal moldlines and very crisp molding (compared to older Airfix kits which look...ghastly).
>>10020210I know there's a waist swivel, you can see the damn thing bisecting the torso sculpt. Now let's see what it looks like in use! Hopefully it doesn't look totally awful, that would be embarrassing!
As for not having toys, I just got a pair of new ones in as I was writing this, you're in luck!
>>10020212I don't own the figure myself, but those look very much like they're molded in colour. Could be wrong, of course, but they certainly don't look painted. Though casting them in clear plastic and painting them the right colour would be cheaper than casting them in colour to begin with.
