Due the pose of the fig I will put it sitting on top the suit, with the feet where the head is in the pic so to say so it's outside but too "inside" too of the suit so hence the differentiation problem.
About the two material thing it's true but it was more of an "artistic license" to get some, I don't know if this would be the right word, variety. This is all theory for now as the moment of truth comes the paint hits the surface.
Another idea I'm toying with is related to the "official" scheme (pic related) which is a glossy/satin white called Anti-flash white, yep like the one in strategic nuclear bombers, and then the matt/satin camouflage. My idea was replacing the white with the candy coat and then doing some matt black camouflage splotches/waves. That would make more sense than the suit fabric for sure but one thing is how I imagine and the other is how it looks irl and then how I execute it too which can be a mess or something quite cool.
Well, as you see from the wall of text this thing has me quite bothered.
