Seriously. Unless you want "cheap and small desk toy", where you have several good options, if you want a decent-sized Shockwave that doesn't turn into a yoga pose, the Siege mold is your friend. Shockwave is hefty, can turn into a spacegun, and the super spaceship mode's actually pretty neat. I don't really use the parts for his robot mode, but people have had fun with them, picrel.

If you're genuinely going to be happy with Legacy, then go ahead. It was too similar to CW Shockwave which I was happy with, so I passed. I was given Siege Shockwave as a gift but got Siege Magnus for voyager prices from a sale at some point - if you can get Siege Shockwave for ~voyager prices somehow, then he's well worth the money. Even the extra parts aren't horrible if you sometimes put him in his super spaceship mode, the latter is legit impressive: I pretend that was his mode given while he was kept in stasis/as a prisoner.
You could also risk waiting a few more years for another core Shockwave to be made, seeing CW, Studio Series, and Legacy, he's someone who'll reliably show up now and then. Siege is effectively a mini-MP + addons transformation-wise, so there's a chance they could adopt the engineering and downsize him. Or straight-up just release the base figure like people want. I'm happy if you're happy with Legacy but it sounds like you're trying to settle

Not at home atm so I can't take a picture myself but luckily I have this one taken by someone else on hand.
It's a neat mode but has it's drawbacks like the fact it makes Shockwave very backheavy, but the figure can easily stand with it.
Most other combinations I see tend to involve a Brunt or two but I'll see if I have anything else saved.
