When i was a kid there was a place called Johnny's toys, and on your birthday they'd send you a postcard with a key on it. What did the key open? The Door to the castle at Johnny's Toys, of course! Once you got into the castle you got to pick out a free toy to go home with. The toy would be on the cheaper end, but that isn't what was important, even then at such a young age. What felt important was you had a good day with your family since it was your birthday[ which was rare on a personal level due to a heap of family issues] AND you got mail. I loved getting mail when I was younger because really the only time that I did is when it was time to go to the castle.
