The whole point of SF is that they are exaggerated archetypes for different nationalities. So uh... meant to be offensive? which is an odd thing to say or justify haha. I can see non-Japanese make a big deal about it on behalf of Japanese, even though the character concept was made by Japanese, with the idea of spreading Sumo to the world so he goes overboard with Japanese characteristics to stand out.
I thought maybe Sumo Kyokai had made some official complaint but found this instead lol they don't care. If there was something specific I'm interested to know.
