I've come to realize a lot of what makes a proper jojo pose is the angle of the legs and feet, the abdomen and the neck. If you look at arakis art, those 4 joints are typically at strange angles. I guess in order to make a pose look less stiff and more dynamic and "araki", try bending some of those joints around into weird places.
