There's no doubt in my mind that the TMNT film could exist the way it did if it weren't for the cartoon proving you can keep the fucking characters and plot intact that wasn't hollywoodized and be popular.
TMNT would be considered a joke and a terrible franchise, and you wouldn't be here even talking about the comic, because it's better to forget something even associated with such trash
