>>8361913Here's hoping the Combaticons did well enough for them to move onto the Protectobots. Because man are there just not any Defensors out there.
>>8361928I decided to try taking apart Onslaught's shoulders to see what we're up against for replacement parts.
That little pin is nothing, it's out after a decent whack with a screw driver and a bit of lube, though since you can't take Onslaught's arm off it's kind of hard getting his shoulder rested flat on something so you can punch it. It barely even blocks the shoulder piece from being disassembled too, but it does need to come out otherwise you'll need to damage or cut something to get the clearance to take things apart. And there's no way we aren't going to have to punch that pin or cut something: the way everything is built on him they'd need to give out entire replacement arms to save us the trouble.
Everything after that tiny pin is just unscrewing, nothing even really pings out.
Also the ratchet joint for the arm is pretty lulsworthy. 2 opposing nubs on a gear are all that's holding that arm up. At least the upward shoulder joint is a proper spring loaded ratchet. I guess it's a miracle my Onslaught can hold the combiner arms up like that. Does make you wonder what they'll try to replace it with if they're doing so, since there isn't that much room in the joint itself for a bigger ratchet or anything.
