But I wouldn't mind some MOCs getting canonized. There are some things a certain portion of fans seems to agree on these days anyway. It usually happens when a MOC or an artpiece gets popular and the other fans run with it.
Google Makuta Kojol for example, and you'll see that most MOCs are gold and black despite lack of official word on his preferred colors (kek). Not sure who started it, but someone did and the others must've liked the idea to the point it reached fanon status- a literal meme, in the word's original Greek meaning.
