>>7827729>Also if the NECA Turtles were originally priced so high no one would buy them either. UH, they were originally a convention exclusive where you have to LUCK into paying $250 to get into said convention located in a corner of the united states
They were also limited to 4,000-8000 units made and could only be bought as complete set of 8 figures.
They sold out and went for crazy prices on ebay afterward. Then they made another set, that actually looked like the cartoon and those also sold out. Again, convention exclusives and boxed set only.
That's infinitely harder to get than some import available in almost every single online toy shop AND found in physical stores in almost every city in the US, on clearance even.
> The lack of interest for the SHF had to do with price and distributionNah, they got clearanced hardcore and still didn't sell until after a few mark downs from their already clearanced price. Again, you can't say they had a distribution problem when you had no problem getting it on clearance from BBTS.
Only little kids without credit cards would cry about a distribution issue because their parents only give them physical money to be used at physical stores.
BTW, the price on the Figuarts was $50. Not $80, but i can't blame you for thinking they're that much, because who even looks at the prices for chintzy designs like that?
>Everyone loved them when they were first announced. You confuse fanboys praising everything a brand makes vs people who are actually interested in said items, hence there being like 3 people who ever posted their TMNT on /toy/ (and almost all of them only buying them when they got clearanced).
