>>10502069spot on analysis anon. for whatever reason the packaging reminds me most of those early batches of knock off pokemon cards. really all that was missing was embossed foil lettering. the bright colors are the most egregious aspect of the whole thing when you get down to it. that's not to say batman cant be colorful, but even the most lively of kenner variants embraced the character's trademark qualities through the packaging. 'Phoned in' really summarizes the entirety of WoB.
