Hasbro normally doesn't cater to collector wants, because they make toys for children. We do know that GI Joes has a large portion adults buyers. Real adults, 20+, since the 00s. The fact that they switched how their toys were made so fast (one year is fast for the toy industry) goes to show that there's a significant amount of people who wanted less sci fi shit. There hasn't been such an about face that happened so quickly since when collectors bitched about vehicle drivers and less articulated figures in the Retaliation line. You don't see that with Marvel or any other mass market line and takes years and years of moaning until any change is taken.
Again, this is what our own generals have been bitching about since before the Classified line was even released.
>They're also much more detailed and higher quality than most figure guns on the market. Your average weapon is like, what, a single piece of plastic. These are pretty complicated miniature model kits.I build models. I have a closet full of unbuilt kits, from many different makers and countries. I have a very good idea of what to expect for my money. The Little Armory kits are priced just like other super niche kits I've bought. They're expensive solely because they're a small niche. Shit's more expensive than Mezco and McFarlane weapons, which are made up of multiple pieces. Way more expensive than MGR, which can have a dozen different add ons, and painted too.
Already built and painted shit is more expensive than model kits, because there's more steps involved after being molded. Taking off the runners, shaving off the excess plastic, maybe buffing, glueing the pieces together.. theyre almost model kits too.
>You can only post pics of the exact same toy so many times it's true. The GI Joe General existed for years after they stopped releasing products and we still got more pictures than what's going on in the current one
