>>11060082As the Grey air defences in the region prevented any detailed aerial recon the mission planning relied heavily on known Grey battle doctrine and operational behaviour - Greys are notoriously rigid and unchanging in their ways. Alpha Team's captain expected few surprises and this was largely the case; a pair of missile launcher trucks at the center with a command post bunker to one side; a crescent of strongpoints facing the likely directions of enemy attacks; stocks of missile reloads at the rear. What was not so expected was the presence of a giant, towering over his fellow Greys as he scanned around the area anything suspicious. Of even more concern were a pair of Little Bird helicopter gunships parked on the side of the base opposite to their starting point. If one or both managed to get airborne the platoon was as good as dead.
