It's such a common color for Bandai products, I can't believe there was either a shortage or it was too expensive to use even considering Saber's smaller budget. Fuck, I'm surprised it's not subsidized they use it so much. Makes me entertain the idea that is was a QC mistake.
What REALLY drives that theory for me is coming across a close up of Espada. Clearly you can see the textures and shine of silver paint on his sword and body and it matches with the texture you can see on the gold paint to help understand that you're looking at paint.
I would hazard a guess that the workers who handled those parts didn't notice the lack of silver paint much like how they didn't notice Build RabbitRabbit using the Evol Driver's wheel part.
Overall it just seems too strange that Blades and Espada will likely have silver but Saber wouldn't just because of budget. Saber would look noticeably fucked up next to them.
Wonder if it would be a good idea to abandon ship and wait for Bandai's response if any. In case it is a mistake. At least as an American I can hope the later released domestic Amazon batch could be witheld until a correction is made. Don't trust that those of us who imported can make any potential exchanges as easily as a Japanese local could.
