>>11599080The thread started off as the Busou Shinki General. Like other anons have explained, they were the progenitors of the entire mecha musume toy genre, and Megami Device literally started off as Busou Shinki 2.0. Shinki were posted here even after the franchise was officially killed off, but eventually were phased out as MDs and FAGs started showing up on the scene - the toys are now decades old and haven't withstood the passage of time too well. I still own all of my old Shinki, but I keep them in storage to avoid further deterioration.

>>11599157She's technically a Shinki, made as a collab between BS/MD. As is such, she's the last original Shinki of the franchise, and debuted alongside the Arnval and Strarf collabs. Mao, incidentally, was originally conceived to be in the same wave as a 'Not!Maochao", but got lost in development hell when the Busou Shinki license was revoked, only recently getting revived and slightly tweaked to avoid issues with Konami.
