It would make sense since red roses grow on thorn bushes. I guess it could be a coral reef, but what would an underwater plant have to do with the story of Beauty, and the Beast? That would be something they could have given to live action Ariel.
It could have to do with the beasts back story. Maybe it belonged to his mother, and he gave it to Belle? Maybe it has something to do with breaking the cures or maybe It's just some random piece of jewelry the enchanted objects gave her to go with the yellow dress.
