I'm still fairly new to the realm of figures/model kits, so I haven't really gotten a feel for the normal cycle of preorders and restocks and whatnot, but there's something I've been wondering about for a while. When a store sells out of preorders for a kit, does that necessarily mean that all of their incoming stock of that item is spoken for, and that all the units the store orders from the manufacturer will go towards fulfilling their preorders? Or is it common that there is stock left over for normal, on release customers? There are a few kits getting upcoming reprints that I'm really looking to get my hands on but that I was too late to get preorders for, and I'm wondering if I'm just SOL on getting them at normal prices, or at all.
