It is a peg-and-socket swivel system, but there have been various types of joints developed for advanced movement within that system. By now we can pretty much reproduce full super-articulation in builds, the only limit is your imagination. So yeah, the figures are all swivels out of the box, but this is a building toyline at heart, so you can easily craft your own limbs and joints for them.
