You know those wargaming skeletons? I'd always been intrigued by them... especially the way that there'd be a whole army of them, but the figures were sculpted in a way (with mix n' match arms, weapons, skulls) so that each one is different. Talented hobby painters (more talented than me) would paint them up, so they had a common color scheme, but each skeleton had considerable variation in armor and equipment.
I kind of think of October Toys skeletons as raw material for jumbo-sized, wargaming-inspired skeleton armies. Here's 3 of mine, heavily customized. Unlike wargaming figs, these are articulated, and function wins over form... the stuff they wear is functional, the swords come out of the scabbards, and the arrows are removable and can be really shot with the bow!
