McFarlane charges less when it's supposed to sell more, like this AMP suit, which also comes with alt hands, gun, ammo, and knife. When they estimate sales are going to be lower, it's going to cost more, but that's just standard sales models.
BAFs in general require you to pay $100+ to get them "free." Similar sized figures by other companies are $50+.
On the otherside of the same token, you have $25 MLs, that don't come with any or few accessories. Whereas other companies offer same sized figures for $19.99 still.
Nevermind that MLs are usually just re-re-re-reused bodies, usually to the detriment of the character. When companies like NECA and McFarlane reuse molds, it's for the same character (or alien), so you don't end up with scale-creep.
