Superhero toys used to follow this direction pretty well in the 90s. But Hasbro's house style is pseudo-realism, they seem to want everything to look like it fits in with each other. They want some random 90s goofball character to be able to feasibly rub shoulders with the MCU crew. This really hurts the line, especially with hyper-stylized stuff like Gurihiru's Gwenpool. As someone once said, Hasbro's figures largely look more like cosplayers than superheroes. They just don't push the proportions much anymore, and everything looks so bland and safe.
