The MRD Hi-Nu was released almost simultaneously with the standard RD with both using largely the same mold, so there wasn't that large gap between RD and MRD releases as there was with the Strike Freedom and Lancelot. Hi-Nu was also the very first MRD, so I don't think Bandai really had an idea of what to do with the MRD line yet, besides to add more paint.
>>7125725The original MRD and RD both had very bluish coloring with just a slight tint of purple (my camera is really exaggerating the blueness of the RD here, but even in-person it looks more blue than purple). The Re:Package used a different shade of paint that more closely reflected the proper purple shade the Hi-Nu should have.
