>>8219734I don't know for sure who my first minifigure was, but based on wear, it was one of these guys. I had a little army of them because I loved knights and castles and stuff, and most of my figures are in pretty good condition, except for one of the pic related foot soldiers has the lion emblem on his chest worn off and it's just a blue triangle on the red torso, so I'm betting he's close to if not one of the first lego figures I ever had. (I have a nurse figure who's equally worn, so I dunno.)
Like you, I was blown away by the visor on the helmets actually moving up and down, and my favourite minifigs from the era would have been the knight with armour and helmet, and also the captain hook figure thanks to his unique hook hand and peg leg, which was a novelty in my growing collection.
Love the wear and tear on your figure there, he certainly looks well loved. Do you keep him loose as a desk buddy or do you put him up in a display somewhere normally?
