After having owned different types, I have to say, my favourites are the "middle ones". Figures such as the Veteran Blood Angels, an Ultramarine like Parneus or Sidonicus, stuff like that. I was really excited for my Custodes, even got the whole wave, but they're basically "statues". Don't even get me started on my Termie Word Bearer. I'll only buy very few Chaos stuff, just for my "misc" Marines and Astra Militatum to have someone to beat up, and focus on fleshing out some of the main Loyalist Chapters. And the weirdest thing is, my favourite figures are the Sororitas and Celestine. They're genuinely fun to play with and pose. I don't know, me I'm getting kind of bored. I was looking to buy a Helbrecht for my few Templars, but after handling Calgar, and seeing as how Helbrecht is even more "ornate", I'll be passing. I started buying these to have some fun 40K toys to play with and pose, and the more "busy" the designs get the more that factor is lost. I can pose my basic bitch Ultras just fine, but the Chaos Marines with their skulls and such everywhere are a bit of a pain. I'm more looking forward to seeing some Inquisitors or something now, since I know I'll enjoy them more as action figures.
Anyone else feel like this?
