As for why they are so expensive on the aftermarket, it's because the company doesn't keep making or even hold stock, they make one printing and then that's it so if you miss your 3 week window(sometimes even less then a week with the popular figures) to pre order one then you're stuck with aftermarket. Even when they do reprint a figure it takes them a long time and even then they always change something on it so it's not actually the same figure. Example being the Deforeal Shin, it originally came out in 2017 and it took 3 years for it to get another run but if you look at the new one it's actually made out of different material using a clear vinyl instead so pretty much it's a completely different figure.
