You have any pic related screwdriver lying around?
Use the flat one, not the phillips one that's the same or as close to as the size of the hole.
Press and twist against hole and blow the plastic residue occasionally until satisfied.
I'd usually avoid altering the figure itself and modify the stand whenever possible.
