>>6825725Durge, inspired by the action figure. The cycle continues.
In the Obsession comic, he gets a new helmet but aside from that he remains the same; complete with his jetpack from the 2003 series and other accessories. Something I've seen people do is they make their own Durge custom by combining the three different figures from hasbro. They used the swoop bike durge for the body because it has the most articulation. Then they take the samurai-inspired helmet from the obsession comic pack figure and then finally they grab accessories from the original durge. The end result is a perfect Durge. A figure from a classic character that's important to hardcore fans and original fans of the clone wars, not just TCW2008. Coming back to my original point: This, for example is a character Hasbro will probably not revisit for a while even though it's been years since the last time we've seen him. It's a figure that is too big for TVC-cards anyway. Besides, how many of your average fans even know or care about him except those that know a thing or two about the EU or those who were fans in 2003?
And just like Asajj, if we would hypothetically get a new figure based on this character, it would likely be different enough from the originals in some discernible way and not guaranteed to be an all-in-one 'future-proof' solution like some of the movie characters that received great, definitive or near-definitive remakes in the vintage collection. Such examples of TVC hits would include characters like Zam Wesell or Aayla Secura. These are figures that are arguably near-perfect works of art and engineering and they act as complete replacements for older versions.
