I'm really not much of a headcanon or lore guy overall, so I can't really give answers to your other questions because I rarely think of my figures in terms of hierarchies and whatnot. I'm much more of "does the character look cool/have a cool action feature" type of fan and lore rarely plays a role in how I view them. And it's the ones that look coolest next to each other that typically end up as teams...that's what spawned so many Mosquitor/Dylamug pics. Not any conscious headcanoning, they just really mesh visually.
The extent of my headcanon is probably just thst I view him (and Octavia) as part of the core Horde along with Leech, Grizzlor, Mantenna, Modulok, Mosquitor and Dragstor, despite them not actually getting toys in the 80s (but hey, they were intended, so that's good enough for me)
