>>7478235>>7478265I have a 4 digit pricetag worth of 00 gauge trains and various rolling stock with a bit of track already, from 30 year's worth of birthday presents and some I bought myself. Got most of it before I even knew N gauge was a thing or I'd have asked for that.
What I (personally) was asking is where would I even begin for setting up something permanent? Depending on how I play my cards I've various amounts of space to use for something, for example see pic related for what I know for sure I could use with blue being easy to use, green being space I'd can use but would prefer not to and red being obstacles.
But what are the main points or whatever I should even aim for in putting something permanent together? I was thinking I could have a small freight yard or something and make it potentially open ended so that it could one day connect as part of a larger layout.
I don't know, I don't know what I'm doing here.
